Frequently Asked Questions

Where Do I Take My Vehicle For Repairs?

If you purchased the service agreement from a company with repair facilities, we recommend returning it to them if possible. Otherwise you may select a repairer of your choice or work with our Customer Service Agents to locate a repair facility or, use our National Fleet Service relationships with Firestone, Pep Boys, AAMCO, Interstate Transmissions, MultiState, and Mr. Transmissions among others.

Protect your vehicle from further damage. Locate a licensed repair facility of your choice. Give the repair facility your service agreement so that they can contact American Guardian Warranty Services, Inc. The toll free number is 1-800-579-2233. Authorize the repairer to diagnose the problem with the vehicle. Make sure the repair shop understands that in order to be paid for covered repairs they need to obtain repair authorization from us.

How Will My Claim Get Paid?

We are able to pay the repairer for authorized repairs directly by Corporate Credit Card (Visa or American Express) or by Check. Remember it is the repair facility's decision as to whether they will accept payment directly from us or not, so you should talk to them about their payment policy when you bring your vehicle in for repair. If the repairer requires you to pay them for repairs and submit your own claim, the check payment process can take up to 30 days from receipt of acceptable claim documents.

Mike F., Acworth, GA

We just arrived home driving our tow car because we had to leave our motor home in Florida for repairs. The part needed is going to take a couple weeks to build by the manufacture. We wanted to thank everyone at your company for the excellent service we had this week. We were a little worried about purchasing an extended warranty becuase of all the complaints you see in the Motorhome magazines. We bought the warranty before our first big trip and didn't need to use it at all. This time however has been a different story. Over the last week, we have had to replace the alternator, repair a roof air and in the process of replacing a wiring harness that is not going to be cheap. Each time the repair companies called you for authorization, they were amazed with how good you were to deal with. All of them said that normally these warranty companies try to give them the run around just to get out of paying the claim. My family would like to thank you for your service. Without it, this trip woud have been a very expensive nightmare. We have already reffered you guys to all the people in the camp ground that came by while they were hitching up the tow truck and we plan to write into the Motorhome magazines to express our delight.

Please keep up the great work.
